Canadian Consulate in Minneapolis
If you have lost your passport you will need to report this at your local police station. The case number they give you. Usually on a card needs to go to the Consulate or Embassy. This will allow them to issue you with an emergency travel document. If you are getting married you will need a letter from the Embassy or Consulate to state they you are single.
Once this is issued you will be able to register your married in the United States. If you have given birth then you will need all the original documents to register the birth. You can seek assistance at the Consulate for this. The child will later require a travel document to return to Canada.
If you need documents to be legalised by the Consulate then you will have to travel to the Consulate by appointment. You can see the street address of the Consulate for this.
