Canadian Embassy in Myanmar

If you have lost your Canadian passport while in Myanmar you will need to report this to the police. The police will give you a case number as well as a note that you can give to the Embassy. You will now need to apply for a new Canadian passport. Once this is processed they will give you a temporary travel document or a new passport. Most Canadians in Myanmar are there on holiday and leaving the country might be urgent to catch their flight.

Once you complete the application forms, they will tell you when to collect the letter. The letter will need to be translated and certified. You can then use those to register your marriage in Myanmar. Once that is completed. The marriage certificate would need to be translated and certified to use for a spousal visa for Canada to take your spouse back to Canada with you.
