If you are in Ireland and you lose your passport then see what to do next. You will need to report your lost passport to the police in Ireland. Once this has been reported they will give you a case number or letter to give to the Canadian Embassy. The Embassy will not issue you with an emergency travel documents unless you have the police report. Complete the forms at the Embassy and then add the police report. They will then issue you with an emergency travel document so you can return to Canada. If you live in Ireland then you should ask them about a new passport.

If you are getting married in Ireland you will need a letter from the Embassy to state that you are single. This needs to be translated and certified for the Irish government. Once married the marriage registration needs to be translated and certified. Your Irish wife or husband can now apply for a spouse visa for Canada.
