There is a Canadian Embassy in Mexico which is located in Mexico City however there are also 2 Canadian Consulates located in Mexico. Depending on where you are you can approach any of them for consular assistance if you are in legal or medical trouble.

If you need emergency assistance then call the all hours number below and call it collect. If you need a new passport or need to register a birth or register a marriage abroad then you can also seek assistance in this regard. If you are getting married you can also ask the embassy for a Certificate of No Impediment to Marriage which is common. You can also have documents legalized while in Mexico at the embassy. Note that you can apply for a visitors visa or a Canadian study permit at the embassy for Canada.
